KEE—In sad but loving memory of our dear son and brother, Private Joseph Edwin Kee, killed in action Sept. 26, 1917, at Polygon Wood
OUR ANZAC
In the bloom of his life God claimed him,
In the prime of his manhood days,
None knew him but to trust him,
None spoke his name but to praise
There came a day when the roll was called
That he did not answer "Here! "
He slept with comrades his last long sleep,
And he died without a fear.
No loving mother's gentle hand
To wipe the death dew from his brow,
No token of love in that far off land
To mark the spot where he sleepeth now
No loved one stood around him
To bid a fond farewell,
No word of comfort could we give
To him we loved so well
Inserted by his loving parents, sisters'
brother and brother-in-law.
