Biography

MIS-SPELLING OF SURNAME - Actually Albert Cecil GILLIES - clerical error on enlistment - this is the same individual as found at THIS LINK (/explore/people/211156)

There would appear to have been maladministration on enlistment. He was susbquently re-enlisted and assigned to the 11th Battalion. Killed near Fromelles / Fleurbaix in the Armentieres sector 30 May 1916
