Son of William and Elizabeth ABBOTT, 114 Denison Street, Newtown, NSW
Arthur served in Egypt and France and was among the first Australians to arrived in France. He was wounded at Pozieres and invalided to Horseferry Road London. He rejoined his unit and was wounded on a second occasion in September 1917 and invalided to No 1 Australian General Hospital where he died of his wounds on 6 September 1918.
