Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Daughter of Charles Joseph Magee, a builder from England, and his New South Wales-born wife Mary Theresa, née Cleary

Her mother passed in Sept 1909 and their father passed about 7 days later. As the father passed at Waterfalls Hosp, and in 1909 it was treating all the TB cases one would have to assume that sadly they both passed from TB.  There were 7 children in the family and they went to live with their Aunt - Miss E A CLARY, 214 Glebe Road, Glebe Point, NSW

Sister Mary Agnes Magee served as a Nurse in WW1, British War Medal, Victory Medal. Matron of Concord Repatriation Hospital in 1959 and awarded the O.B.E. Died aged 90 years at Nazareth House North Turramurra Sydney on 14-2-1987. Sister of No.887 Trooper Eric William Magee wounded by a sniper on Gallipoli on 7-11-1915 and died onboard H.S.
