Husband to Marion and father to Rosalie.

Roberts sister Elsie was travelling on the SS Persia from the UK to Bombay. The Persia was torpedoed  and sunk of the coast of Crete on 18 December 1915 by a German U boat. Elsie did not survive.

He married Marion Limond MASON at St Pauls Church of England in East Devonport Tasmania on 21st January, 1913
