Unit embarked from Fremantle, Western Australia, on board HMAT A60 Aeneas on 17 April 1916.

Embarked Fremantle on HMAT Aeneas', 17 April 1916.

Proceeded to France, 15 September 1916; marched into 2nd Australian Divisional Base Depot, Etaples, 16 September 1916; moved into the field, 25 September 1916; taken on strength of unit, 26 September 1916.

Admitted to hospital, 7 November 1916 (illness); discharged to duty, 9 November 1916.

Admitted to 5th Field Ambulance, 20 November 1916 (swollen feet); rejoined unit from hospital, 29 November 1916.

Admitted to 5th Field Ambulance, 18 April 1917, and transferred to Divisional Receiving Station (trench feet); admitted to 8th Australian Field Ambulance, 3 May 1917, and transferred to Divisional Receiving Station (trench feet); to 9th Casualty Clearing Station, 4 May 1917; to Ambulance Train, 5 May 1917; admitted to 3rd General Hospital, Rouen, 5 May 1917. Embarked Havre on HS 'Grantully Castle' and proceeded to England for further treatment, 16 May 1917; admitted to 3rd Southern General Hospital, Oxford, 17 May 1917 (slight debility); transferred to 3rd Auxiliary Hospital, 7 June 1917; discharged to No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 11 June 1917.

Commenced return to Australia on HT 'Berrima', 31 October 1917; disembarked Fremantle, 22 December 1917. Discharged on account of being medically unfit for continued service, Perth, 12 January 1918 (debility and over age).
