Scott William Smith
Rufus Raabe sailed from Australia to Egypt with Scott William Smith, nickname Dave (Service number 212) the brother of Francis Henry Smith (Frank).

Rufus Raabe - (A Squadron - 2nd Light Horse)
Rufus served at Gallipoli and is mentioned several times in Frank Smith's diary. Both Rufus and his brother Samuel enlisted in 1914. Frank Smith and Rufus were both from Marburg in Queensland and no doubt joined the Light Horse together. Rufus survived the war and returned to live at Esk in Queensland. He is Buried in the Esk cemetery.
