who died on 23rd January 1917.
William was born at Spring Hill, Northam, Western Australia on 27th February 1869 - the son of Matthew Humphreys and Bridget O’Donahue. He married Mary Oldham on 22nd January 1890 in Perth, Western Australia William and Mary had 7; children 4 boys and 3 girls.
William enlisted on 9th August 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Ulysses A28 on 2nd November 1915
His death from Pheumonia occurred on 23 rd January 1917 at Tidworth Military Hospital.
William is buried at Tidworth Military Cemetary, Tidworth, Wiltshire, England.
