Arthur William Hudson was in Bourke NSW on 1st February 1897 to James Cottrell Hudson and Victoria Prudence (née: Brennan).
Arthur worked as a station hand on Dunlop Station, Bourke NSW 2840.
On 2nd August 1915, Arthur enlisted in Australian Imperial Force at the age of 18 years & 6 months.
Arthur was "wounded in action" on the 9th August 1916 (shot in buttocks).
Arthur was discharged on 25th September 1919 where he returned to his home town of Bourke.
In 1924 Arthur married Augusta Olive Mathews (great daughter to T.A Mathews the founder of Louth NSW).
Arthur and Augusta had 5 children together.
Arthur suffered from a chronic heart condition and passed away on 10th December 1949 at the age of 52.
