Daughter of Augustus Halifax, sister of John Halifax and wife of William Hogg. Hallie was Assistant Quartermaster of the Australian Division of the British Red Cross.
"Miss Ada M Hogg, Assistant Quartermaster of the Australian Division of the British Red Cross. Miss Hogg began her career in Australia as the Honorary Treasurer of the Shepherds Bush Branch of the Soldiers & Sailors Families Association. After resigning from the position on 19 December 1915, she embarked the next day for France as the Honorary Secretary of No. 1 Red Cross Hospital. In August 1918 she was transferred to the Australian Division of the British Red Cross in London, where she performed "special duties." Miss Hogg continued her voluntary Red Cross war work until 30 June 1919. She successfully passed the tests for the Surgical Requisites Association, and held Badge and Badge Certificates of the Orthopaedic Branch of Queen Mary's Needlework Guild. She is seen wearing the uniform of the Australian Division of the British Red Cross, including a bonnet-like cap with a joint Red Cross & St John Ambulance enamel badge on the front. Below the left side collar badge is a ribbon bar for the 1914-15 Star, British War Medal 1914-20, and Victory Medal." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)

"OBITUARY
Mrs. Hallie Hogg, well known in South Australia as an educationist, traveller and writer, died in Sydney last week after a brief illness. She was born in Melbourne, and was a daughter of the late Mr. Augustus Hallifax, of King's College, Oxford. Having come to South Australia to reside she became identified with educational pursuits and she and her
husband, the late Mr. William Hogg, established a business college here. After the death of her husband in 1912, Mrs. Hogg spent most of her time abroad. During the war she was treasurer of the London Soldiers and Sailors' Institute, and secretary of the Duchess of Westminster's Hospital at Le Touquet. She later conducted important investigations in plastic surgery. She was decorated three times for her Empire services and also received honors from the Governments of France and Italy. She was a life member of the Italian Red Cross Society. In the past 20 years she travelled extensively and lived altogether in 66 different countries. The ashes after cremation in Sydney will be brought to Adelaide for interment." - from the Adelaide Advertiser 22 Jun 1937 (nla.gov.au)
