Ronald Maxwell Link

Ronald Maxwell, known as Ron was born 22 November 1925 at Hindmarsh, the son of Walter Link and Dorothy Pulham.
Walter Link died when Ron was 3 years old and 7 weeks prior to the birth of his second son. The family lost their sister/ daughter in tragic circumstances in May 1926.
By this time Ron’s mother Dorothy, had taken on the responsibility of raising three of her sister’s children, so she was left to raise five children. It is known that Dorothy’s mother came to live with her circa 1928.
Ron enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force on 14 December 1943 and was discharged on 14 November 1945. Next of kin was his mother, Dorothy. Rank of Leading Aircraftman, posting at discharge, 6 Radio Installation and Maintenance Unit.
He married Eleanor Elsie (Ella) Judd on 31 March 1973. Ron died in 27 December 1996 age 71. Last abode: Allenby Gardens, Centennial Park, Charles Newman Terrace Wall (same location as Ella)
