Add my storyBiography contributed by Faithe Jones
Most profound sympathy is felt in Guildford for the Minnett family in their sad bereavement over the death of Stanley, who was killed in action in France on July 9th. The sorrow of the family is intensified by the news that another member of the family (Willie) is missing since the same date. However, we are all hoping that he is a prisoner. There are few who knew Stanley who do not deeply mourn his
loss,' for he was one of the finest young men in the district. He was a fearless and practical Catholic, and in his manner and actions he was all you could desire a young man to be. With the promise of a bright future and in the' vigour and bloom of manhood he went where duty called him, and offered his life in sacrifice for his country. May God have mercy on his soul, and comfort his poor father and mother, and his good dear sister, Mary Agnes, who was so fondly attached to him.
