Harold sailed out of Sydney aboard the HMAT A48 (Seang Bee) on 11th February 1915. He was in the 2nd Battalion, 2nd reinforcement and was in the 1st machine gun battalion. He fought in Gallipoli and from there went to the Western front.
He returned to Australia on 24 01.1919.
Medals: 1914:15 Star, and the British War Medal, and a Victory Medal.
