Thomas was born in Inglewood and his parents were John Charles and Phoebe Donovan. Two of his brothers, David [156] and Lesley [174] were killed. Thomas's wife was Grace Margaret Fien (Fielkemeyer) whose family lived at Woody Point. Thomas took up farming after the war.
