Attributes of Ian
Ian was a man full of life and laughter and nothing, no matter how hard and difficult could stop him from achieving the dreams he set out for himself and later on for his family. Ian had a calming and gentle nature that he would not kill even the smallest of God’s creatures, an ant. When Ian's daughter, Catherine was born, she became the most important thing in his life. Ian was so proud of her and loved her tremendously. Ian had a funny sense of humour and many times we could not tell if he was serious or joking. But we soon found out that he was joking when he gave a wink or so with his eye after saying something. Not only was Ian handsome but he was kind, loving, patient and trusting. Ian had been told many times that he looked like Harrison Ford and Charlton Heston but we think he was better looking than the 2 of them put together. Ian loves gardening and planted lots of fruit trees and roses, his favourite rose being 'Double Delight' whenever we lived. Ian was a perfectionist and spent lots of time, perfecting whatever he was doing, even if it took days and nights.
