Jevon enlisted in the regular Army at 18 years of age (1967) and volunteered for duty in Vietnam. He was assigned to the Medical Corps as a Clerk and served in the 1st Field Hospital, Vung Tau in 1968/69.
Jevon married Glennis in 1972 and their daughter Victoria was born in 1977.
Jev. loved playing basketball and helped organise basketball matches against the American soldiers during his time in Vietnam.
