William (a Widower) and Clarissa married in 1918 at Port Wakefield, South Australia and lived in Kadina, Yorktown and Port Broughton where they raised their family and William was a Butcher. William had moved from Victoria to Wallaroo, South Australia by 1913, and was a Restaurantkeeper when he married his first wife. Following her death in 1915, William served in the AIF in WWI.

Tug was working at Port Broughton as a Labourer in 1946 when he enlisted in the RAN. In the early 1950s, Tug married Barbara Joan (b1931) and following his Discharge from the RAN in 1957, they lived in Port MacDonnell and Whyalla.
