George Allan HARRY
George Allen HARRY was born 10/1/1915 at Kent Town, Adelaide, SA. He was a driver of the 121st Australian General Transport Coy which drove trucks in convoy from Alice Springs to Darwin and back for five years. Mr. Alan Smith OAM, wrote a book called "Convoys up the track" detailing the servicemen and the eventful journeys of the drivers.
George HARRY died in 1959 at 44 years old and was found deceased by workmen in a park in Adelaide.
George was cremated and his remains are unknown at Centennial Park cemetery SA. He has no marker, headstone or plaque to indicate his life and service to his country. The Virtual War Memorial site helps to show he is not forgotten.
With respect, Janice Moore (nee Harry)
