PADRE Norman has had an earnest career of service to his fellows. From 1940 to 1946 he was an AIF chaplain to the 9th Division in the Middle East and to the 7th Division in New Guinea. After the war he spent three years in Germany, was senior chaplain to the British troops in the Ruhr; he holds the rank of major in the Army. He broadcast three Anzac Day services from Berlin. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. R. Norman, of 5 Seawall, Glenelg, spent a month with him and his wife in 1949; she was formerly Miss Nan Cussen, of North Adelaide. Padre Norman laid the foundation of the new St. George's Church of England in Berlin in May, 1950. He is now back at Portsmouth.
