Corny Point

Before the 2nd War, "Jack" worked for Alec and Madge BOYD at Corny Point for a couple of seasons. He bought a pony from Alec and went to work for Stan & May Jago at Daly Heads. The pony was sold to Faggotters. He returned for a week-end with Stan 'roo shooting then joined the RAN. He visited Daly Heads when on leave. "Jack" went into a building firm and then an architects firm. He married Sylvia and they lived at Nelson Ave, Flinders Park. Jack and Sylvia had no children.

May Jago (née Boyd) was the sister of Alec Boyd (Gordon Alec Boyd, AIF & RAAF, and Samuel Ronald Boyd, AIF, both killed in action during WWII). May wrote to Jack during WWII.

On 28 November 1984, "Jack" and his wife Sylvia called in to visit Mary Filmer (Stan and May's daughter) and Gordon Filmer at their farm at Corny Point, but sadly they were not at home that day.

Mary was four years old at the commencement of WWI but she remembers Jack as he made her a chart of knots.
