After the war I was trained through the Commonwealth Reconstruction Training Scheme to be a Painter and Decorator.
I joined the RSL after WW2 and I've been an active member for over 50 years.
During that time, I served as President of the Payneham Sub branch for 3years.
I was a committee member for 13 years.
In 2003 I transferred to Goolwa Sub branch.
I have participated in most ANZAC day dawn services and marches
and I treasure the camaraderie that this organization provides.
