Chief Petty Officer Allen Edgar Magor (Service No:PA4378) enlisted in the RAN on 12 August 1943 and was posted to HMAS Cerberus. CPO Magor's service included HMAS Torrens, HMAS Moreton and HMAS Penguin and he was attached to HMAS Torrens when he was Discharged on 30 April 1946.
The eldest (and only surviving) child of Harold Slee Magor (b1892 at East Moonta, South Australia) and Claudia Amanda Nankeville (b1890 at Cross Roads, South Australia), Allen was born in 1916 at Wallaroo Mines in South Australia. Harold (a Salesman) and Claudia married in 1914 at Cross Roads in South Australia and by the mid 1920's were settled at Broken Hill, NSW where Harold was a Salesman, Decorator and Businessman.
Allen worked as a Fitter and Turner and Technical Instructor in Broken Hill NSW and in 1941 in Adelaide married Molly Henderson White (b1919 in Quarading, WA). Allen and Molly settled at Broken Hill NSW where Allen was a Fitter. Following Molly's death, Allen remarried Nancy Shirley Kewell (nee Norsworthy; b1922 in Gawler, South Australia). Nancy died in January 2005 and Allen in July 2005.
