Died on this date – 30th December..... Frank Maull was born at Prestwick, Manchester, England in 1886. He was listed as a 27 year old Joiner & was a passenger on the Ajana which departed from London, England on 23rd August, 1913 & arrived at Fremantle, Western Australia on 2nd October, 1913.
Frank Maull enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force (A.I.F.) on 19th March, 1916 as a 29 year old, single, Repairer from Railway Camp, Kununoppin, via Dowerin, Western Australia.
Private Frank Maull embarked from Fremantle, Western Australia on HMAT Surada (A52) on 26th September, 1916 with the 7th Infantry Brigade, 28th Infantry Battalion, 15th Reinforcements & disembarked at Plymouth, England on 20th November, 1916. He was posted to 7th Training Battalion at Rollestone, Wiltshire, England on 7th December, 1916.
Private Frank Maull was admitted to Fargo Military Hospital on 18th December, 1916 – cause N.Y.D. (not yet determined). He was reported as seriously ill with Bronchitis on 22nd December, 1916.
Private Frank Maull died at 5.50 pm on 30th December, 1916 at Fargo Military Hospital, Wiltshire, England from Broncho Pneumonia. His body was sent to his parents residence for interment – 11 Mount Street, Guildford, Surrey, England & he was buried on 4th January, 1917 in Guildford Old Cemetery, Guildford, Surrey, England.
