Son of Alfred Richard Geering and Florence Hilda Rowe; husband of Claire.

Brother of Hubert Richard Geering, Norman Alfred Geering, Edward Victor Geerin, Muriel Eugenie Geering, Floence Alvis Geering, Oliver William Geeering, Douglas Cedric Geering, Una Marjorie Geeing and Ken Alan Geering

After the war Lawrence settled on a soldier Settlement property on the Coles-Spence Road about 20 miles north east of Lucindale in the Lower South East of South Australia. After he retired he went to live in Naracoorte where he died at the age of 86 years
