IN SIX SHIPS
Acting Leading Seaman Leslie Benson, 23, of Henley Beach, joined the Royal Australian Navy seven years ago. He served on H.M.A.S. Canberra, Yarra, Vendetta, Penguin, and Perth, and also on H.M.S. Kanimbla, which was manned by Australians.
He sailed from England on the Perth on her first voyage as a unit of the R.A.N. He was home on leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Benson, of Henley Beach, last Christmas, and was then transferred back to, the Perth.
