Robert Stanley Behrens was awarded a Life Membership with the RSL proposed by the Bordertown sub branch.  His service to the RSL was undertaken from 1957 as a Publicity Officer, Secretary 1959-60; committeeman 1960,61,67,68,71,73; vice president 1962,63; treasurer 1965,69,70, welfare officer 1972 -75; hose chairman Building Committee 1965, 73.  He was a committeeman for the Gil in a Million fund raiser. Conference organiser for the South East. 

In Bordertown he was an adviser to Rural Youth Club.  Vice President local Association Boy Scouts Bordertown.  Robert was a committee man for the School and Institute. Secretary of the Tennis Club.  United South east Bowls Association publicity Officer.  While he was living at Wolseley he was secretary of the Football Club.
