Son of Mr and Mrs H.O. BOOKER of 78 Welland Avenue, South Welland, SA. Educated at Welland Public School and Thebarton Technical School he followed sport and was particularly fond of swimming and was a keen motor cyclist. In civilian life he was an Electric Welder at 'Hallwelds" for several years and left in January 1941 to join the RAN. Allan was a member of the RANAR for some months. His father Pte. H.O. BOOKER was in a Pioneers Regiment in the Great War and saw 3 years' service.
