Biography

ACT FLT-LIEUT Clem Nitschke RAAF Aged 28 son of Mr and Mrs S Nitschke of Wolseley Terrace, Woodlands Park. Educated at Eudunda, East Adelaide and Ascot Park Public Schools. Before the war he was a member of Western Australia Areo Club, also Broken Hill, where he gained his private A and Commercial B Pilot licences. He enlisted in March 1940 from Broken Hill where he was employed at the Grand Hotel. He went to Western Australia where he was Assistant 21st Chief Flying Instructor, and in July 1943 was killed in an aircraft accident.
