Cpl. Thomas Eric Carter Keast, 22nd Battalion Australian Infantry, was killed in action on 27th October 1915. He is buried in Shrapnel Valley Cemetery, Anzac.
“KEAST. — Killed in action on 27th October, at Gallipoli, Corporal T. E. C. Keast, 22nd Battalion, loved youngest son of Ellen J. and the late W. H. Keast, of Murrumbeena, aged 21 years.” [1]
“KEAST. — A tribute to the memory of my dear old mate, Corporal Eric Keast, killed in action at Gallipoli on October 27, aged 21 years, late of Murrumbeena.

The former gas fitter was the son of Ellen Jane Keast, of Melbourne Street, Murrumbeena, Victoria, and the late William Keast.
