Biography

Joined airforce in 1941 and after many placements was in New Guinea in 1943 with 31 Sqdn Beaufighters.

Left airforce in 1945 one month after son was born.

Flew DC3s for Guinea Airways, Beechcraft Bonanza as flying correspondent in India during partition riots, various planes for KLM and Swissair including first jets.

Returned to Australia, moved to Queensland and died of natural causes.

Son David Ellis has airforce Log Book and two silk maps from his Beaufighter days.
