Flight Sergeant Keith Ronald Pearce 433821 of Number 8 Communication Unit based at Madang proceeded on normal duties as the WAG on Beaufort A9-250 to Port Moresby on 23 May 1945
He was admitted to 21MCS with “acute mania” the same day. Evacuated to the mainland to the Brisbane Medical Unit (BMU) on 28 May and then to the 102nd Australian General Hospital where at 0600 on 31May he died of his illness. (NB - 102AGH was in Ekibin, Brisbane as per the member’s casualty file)
