Son of Archie Oliver and Linda Irene Pudney, of Hyde Park, South Australia.
Mrs. L. I. Pudney, of King William road, Hyde Park, has been notified that her only son, F/Sgt. Douglas Stanley Pudney, 24, lost his life in an air-craft accident in Egypt. F-Sgt. Pudney was educated at the Victor Harbor Primary and High Schools, and before enlisting was employed by John Martin & Co., Ltd. and Vesseys, Ltd. He enlisted 10 days after the outbreak of war in the AIF, but later transferred to the RAAF. He gained his wings in May, 1943, and left for overseas several days later.
