Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Wightman, of the Grove, Woodville have been notified that their youngest son, Sgt. Air Gunner Kevin Frederick Wightman, lost his life as the result of an air craft accident in England on the night of December 16. Sgt. Wightman, who spent his boyhood at Berri, where he attended the Higher Primary School, enlisted in December 1941, when he was 18, and sailed for England in June last. He was one of a crew of a Halifax bomber which crashed in Lincolnshire The Wightman family left the River to make their home at Woodville in 1938. Mrs. D. O. Flint, of Renmark, is a sister of the late airman.
