Ross Newcombe KEMSLEY was born in Carlton, Victoria on 18th July, 1922

His parents were Alfred Newcombe KEMSLEY & Glydus Annie May LOGG who married in the Methodist Church in Adelaide, South Australia on 6th September, 1921 - she died in Victoria on 12th October, 1922 less than 3 months after Ross was born

His father Alfred was a Captain during WW1 (SN 5971) and a Colonel during WW2 in the Australian Army (SN VX80892) - he had remarried to a Janet OLDFIELD in 1925 in Victoria
