Missing in Air Operations
Fit.-Sgt. Frank Clucas, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C Clucas, of One Tree Hill, formerly of Renmark, is reported missing in air operations over Germany on December 20. Sgt Clucas was born in Renmark, and went to school here, later attending St. Peter's College. He is 21 years of age, and was on what would have been his last flight prior to being posted to an instructor's position where he was reported missing. Sgt. Clucas spent leave in Renmark with Mr. and Mrs. S.A. James prior to leaving for overseas
early last year.

Pilot officer Frank Clucas son of James and Edith Clucas was born on the 24th of July 1922 in Renmark SA. He lived at One Tree Hill in South Australia and went to St Peters College. He was enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force in Adelaide on the 8th of November 1941 at age 19. He was promoted to Air operations in Nauheim, Germany on the 7th of December in 1942. Then in 1943, he was posted to 428 squardon and on the 20th of December he was killed in action over Frankfurt, Germany age 21. He is buried in Rheinberg Germany war cemetery 9. G. 14.
