Fullarton Man
Dies in Air Crash
Sgt.-Pilot Colin McDonald Broadfoot, 26, of the Royal Australian Air Force, who lost his life in a plane accident in this State recently, was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Broadfoot. of Fisher street Fullarton.
Educated at Scotch College, Sgt.-Pilot Broadfoot enlisted in 1940 and had been trained in four States — Pearce (Western Australia), Parafield (South Australia), Point Cook (Victoria), and Camden (New South Wales). He returned to South Australia in March as an instructor. He was formerly employed in the Adelaide office of the Commonwealth Oil Refineries Ltd., and was unmarried. Sgt.-Pilot Broadfoot was given an Air Force funeral in the Mitcham Cemetery.
