Son of Sydney James Rossiter and Caroline Sophie (nee Geier) Rossiter of Murray Bridge, SA; brother of Henry James Rossister; Eunice Mabel Rossiter, Janet May Rossiter, Rita Viola Rossiter, Joyce Pauline Rossiter and Robert James Rossiter.

Plane was Lancaster JB561 of 630 Squadron which crashed near Horsham, UK
