Son of Benjamin Kenneth and Marjorie Hettie MARSHMAN, 7 Raymond Walk, Toorak Gardens, SA
HE HAS OUTSOARED THE SHADOW OF OUR NIGHT
John was a platoon commander in the Prince Alfred College Cadet Corps. He enjoyed Rowing, Rugby, Rifle Shooting, Football, Cricket, Swimming and Golf.
Mr. and Mrs. B K. Marshman, of Raymond Walk, Toorak Gardens, have been informed that their only son, Sgt-Pilot John Kenneth Marshman, 22, RAF, has been killed in an air accident in Lincolnshire (England). Sgt-Pilot Marshman rowed in the PAC eight in the Head of the River race, and in 1939 was a member of the Adelaide University eight at the interUniversity sports in Sydney. He was studying at the University for his Forestry diploma when he enlisted in 1940. He left Australia for England in August, 1941. His father lost an arm in the last World War.
