Son of Lewis Bluff Rayner and Alice Jane (nee Honan) Rayner; husband of Jean Annie Primrose Rayner of Reservoir, Victoria; brother of Inez Alice Rayner, Lorna Amy Rayner, Lewis Max Rayner and Daphne Jean Rayner.
Plane was Hudson A16-61 which crashed after it hit trees while taking off during a thunder storm. It was carrying a full load of bombs
