Son of Maurice Olsen of Tammergarden, Christiana, Norway.

Also known as Alfred Olsen.

Prior to coming to Australia Svere had served in the Norwegian Infantry for three years.

Commenced return to Australia on 21 December 1918 aboard SS Mamari disembarking on 14 February 1919

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal. As he died intestate and his next of kin could not be traced his medals were returned to Department of Defence
