Son of Victor Roy Swann and Clarice Edna Marjory (nee Skippen) Swann of Port Lincoln, SA; brother of John Gordon Swann

Plane was Blenheim 1V Z9729 which was shot down near Buq Buq after being attacked by four 109's

Served his 3 year Watchmaker apprenticeship with R.R. Sarre of Charles Street, Adelaide

Also served with the Prince Alfred College Cadets for 15 months

School subjects passed - Latin, Arithmetic, Maths 1 & 2, English and Physics but failed Chemistry

Plyed Tennis, Swimming, Yachting
