Next of kin given as his sister Hannah Foster of 77 Kitchener Street, Durham, Darlington, England

On 7 November 1915 he was to return to Australia on board HT Runic but did not embark

During 1921c Arthur married Lilian Mounty in the Burwood area, NSW

In February 1929 he was residing at Hillcrest Avenue, Epping, NSW.

In 1959 a nephew, Clifford Maddison, wrote enquiring about his uncle Arty Forster stating that he may have enlisted under the name of Foster it was not proven that the Arthur and Arty were the same person
