Meeting at Gallipoli
John Goss, known as Jack, wrote home to his mother, Lily Maude Goss and informed her that he had just run into his brother Albert on the beach in Gallipoli. Not long after this meeting, Albert was listed as Missing In Action. Jack lost a leg due to injuries suffered during the conflict. His brother never came home. Jack returned from the war and worked at Kodak before opening his own business. Unfortunately, he could never use a prosthetic leg due to the pain and discomfort he suffered, chose to use crutches rather than suffer the pain.
