Personal Stories
John Walter Goodie
John and Mary were my grandparents, they met in a small town in Victoria called Beaufort while Mary was working. I remember mum telling me John and Mary used to ride in the horse in cart to Ballarat when they started going out.
John fought in WW2 after they were married and came back home on the 18th of June 1945, he was a groundsman. He was born on 24th of November 1900, in Broken Hill NSW and lived in Ballarat Victoria.
