VOLUNTEER DIED
FROM INJURIES
A man was working voluntarily on a kindergarten building when he received fatal injuries, the City Coroner (Mr. T. E. Cleland) found today. Mr. Cleland was inquiring into the death of Leonard McKenzie Mewett, 35, welder, of Fife street, Woodville.
He found that Mewett died in Royal Adelaide Hospital on September 12 from injuries caused when a steel trestle fell on him when he was a volunteer worker at Woodville pre school kindergarten on September 6. The trestle fell when a jolt caused the sling of a crane to become dislodged. Mr. O. C. Isaachsen appeared for Mewett's widow, Mr. R. F. Newman appeared for Woodville District Council Child's Welfare Centre.
