Henry Thomas (Harry) Crabbe is the son of George Crabbe (1852-1938) and Anne Dwyer (1854-1933) of Yeo, Colac, Victoria. 

He was a dairyman and lived in Gerangamete, Victoria. He enlisted in Melbourne when he was 19 years 11 months on the 2 October, 1916.

He left Melbourne on the 16 December 1916 on the "A7 Medic" and disembarked in Plymouth, England.

He was taken on strength in the field from Rouelles 2 August 1917.
