Son of George Quigley and Harriet Ritchie formerly  Quigley nee Boyd of Elizabeth Street, Gympie, QLD.

Brother of Leslie William Quigley who returned to Australia on 9 September 1919 having served with the 25th Battalion; Roy Ernest Quigley who returned to Australia on 1 June  1918 having served with the 49th Battalion

Commenced return to Australia on 9 September 1916 aboard HS Kanowna disembarking on 28 October 1916

On 26 December 1917 Albert married Alice Metcalfe in QLD.
