Son of Mr and Mrs E.O. KITTO, of 2 George Street, Stepney, SA.  Educated at Marryatville and Norwood Central Schools he played cricket and football.  In civilian life he was a fitter and turner and worked for some time with 'All Parts' Ltd. Adelaide and also assisted his parents in Theatre Catering Service in Norwood and St Peters.  Enlisting in September 1941, Keith trained at Laverton.  His father served in the Great War and saw service in France.
