Harry Vernon Greenfield

Born in London on 20 August 1891, the son of Thomas Henry Greenfield & Rose Annie Cooper

Harry served as a Private during WW1 with the 25th (County of London) Cyclist Battalion, which was a bicycle battalion of the London Regiment

He arrived in South Australia in December 1922 & resided in Norwood, Adelaide

On 10 June 1941 at the age of 49, Harry enlisted for the Royal Australian Air Force & was allocated as 39531 Aircraftman, mustered as a Messman at Station Headquarters Laverton

Re-mustered as Canteen Steward III on 25 May 1942
Re-mustered as Canteen Steward IV on 29 September 1942
