Son of Robert Archibald and Myrtle Doris Curtis; husband of Ina Desma Curtis, of Yurgo.
Max suffered an injury to his spine with involvement of the spinal cord whilst in the service and became a Paraplegic.
EX-AIRMAN DIES FROM INJURIES
PASSING OF MR. MAX CURTIS
After a long illness occasioned by serious injuries received whilst on active sesvice with the R.A.A.F. Mr. Max Curtis passed away at the Lameroo Hospital on June 25, at the age of 30 years. Deep sympathy is felt for his bereaved family and young wife who have undergone a great trial during the deceased’s long illness which terminated with his death. The deceased was buried at the Centennial Park War Cemetery, Adelaide. He was well known in the Parilla, Lameroo and Pinnaroo districts and possessed a bright personality which endeared him to his friends.
